Honeymoon Travel Tip: Don’t Be Afraid to Take It Slow

Post by admin

I love talking to couples about travel. A number of them are enthused about the honeymoon than they are about their weddings! That may seem strange to wedding planner and their in-laws, but I totally get it, as an avid traveller.

But here’s a travel tip: Your honeymoon is an extremely important excursion, no doubt! Nonetheless, it’s not the only trip you’re ever going to take as a few;  it is just   the first of many in a life of travel together. I talk to lots of couples that wish to cram into  their excursion: Time in an amazing  beach resort. Time at a cool city. Time from the countryside. Time on airport layovers, so that they can explore each and every step of the way. And they want to do all of this in as many nations as possible!

When I start thinking about my traveling bucket list, I totally know this method of thinking — I really do it myself! However, the fact  is, the more times you switch locales on a journey, the less time you get to spend actually enjoying the locations you chose — rather you’ll be dealing with things such as airports, traffic jams and jet lag. And of course that the budget variable: Every time you incur prices from motorists to airfare. Which is cash that may be spent on things such as one-way excursions, spa treatments, amazing meals or a leading hotel suite — those things which youtreasure and’ll remember most when you return on your journey.

Does this mean you should limit yourselves? Heck no! We adore planning itineraries across the planet, make it an African resort in the Indian Ocean; a Southeast Asia trip that hits Thailand, Cambodia and Vietnam; or some luxe tour of Europe’s most intimate spots. But bear this in mind while you start talking honeymoon dreams: The more time you spend on the street, the less time you’ll invest in city or that wonderful beach, or in that kick-ass honeymoon suite. And a part of the joy of travel is the opportunity. So for this particular trip consider  leaving in  certain precious down time to slow down, sleep in and do absolutely nothing if that’s what you really feel like doing — that is really difficult to do so is you’re  plane-hopping every other  day. And look at your honeymoon as the very first of many travel experiences you’ll have collectively, from anniversaries. (Yep, we aim those things also!)
